Numbers with units in Excel
Before I knew that this could be done in a simple way in excel I always had problems that if I placed the unit in the same cell then I could not multiply the number, since I had the unit put in the cell and if I placed the unit in a cell next to it it just looked ugly. place units on the excelWe start with a simple example, if we wanted to put the unit “m3/s” to all the cells in a row, we would simply have to do the following, having the cell “Caudal” and the values written:nn
nnnnnLet’s go to the formatting options and choose the option “More Number Formats” as shown by the following figure:nnnnn
nnOnce there, we choose the custom option, as we can then add the unit we want:nn
nnnnAs you can see, the unit is simply added between quotes, in this example I chose 0,00″ m3/s” obviously you can place the one you need, but the procedure is the same.nnHere we can see the result and the best of all is that you can multiply these numbers at your whim, without any problems.nnn
I hope this post has served you, as it is a little trick that has really made life easier for me a lot. nn I cordially invite you to review more tutorials about Excel in our section of tutorials for Excel. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
